Potassium hydroxide for alkaline electrolysers

There are two different techniques for the decomposition of water:

1. PEM (Prpton-Exhange Membrane)
2. Alkaline: liquid electrolyte (KOH)

• PEM (Liquid electrolyte) (e.g. PEM-Plectrochemical) (e.g. KOH solution).
• The requirement is 1 tonne per 1 MW, i.e. 200 tonnes are needed for a 200 MW electrolyser, for example
• Replacement interval 2-3 years

The potassium hydroxide supplied by Banmark is produced in Central Europe.
