Products
Köhler & Hörter piston compressors
Design & Construction
KoHo compressors feature a vertical, non-lubricated, reciprocating design tailored for process gas applications. The vertical construction offers superior durability by reducing wear on cylinder liners and extending the service life of piston rings, as the piston’s weight does not exert direct pressure on the rings.
Media Compatibility
KoHo compressors are engineered to handle a wide range of gases, including hydrocarbons, noble gases, exhaust vapors, pure hydrogen, nitrogen, and even highly aggressive gases such as hydrosulfides. Exceptions include pure oxygen and acetylene.
Technical Specifications
- Stages: 1 to 4
- Cylinders: 1, 2, or 3
- Suction Pressure: Up to 15.0 MPa g (ideal for booster applications)
- Discharge Pressure: Up to 30.0 MPa g
- Shaft Power: 10 to 500 kW
- Volume Flow Rate: 100 to 16,000 m³N/h (depending on pressure ratio)
Standards & Certifications
KoHo compressor systems are designed to meet variable suction pressure requirements while adhering to stringent global standards, including API 618, ISO 9001, NACE, DVGW, ASME, TEMA, PED, DIN EN 729-3, AD 2000/HPO, Stoomwezen, Norske Veritas, and Germanischer Lloyd, as well as specialized client-specific factory standards.
Special Expertise
With years of proven experience, KoHo has developed exceptional expertise in handling highly aggressive gases such as NOx and H₂S, ensuring reliable performance in the most demanding industrial environments.
