Falling Film Evaporation
GIG Karasek utilizes its extensive experience and expertise in the design and manufacturing of falling film evaporators, particularly for chemical pulp processes. We supply all commonly used evaporation lamellas up to 1.5 m x 12 m. Combined with durable spot or laser welding techniques, GIG Karasek offers globally unique lamellas of the highest possible quality.

Thin-Film and Short-Path Evaporators
For high-viscosity and temperature-sensitive materials.
Typical Operating Parameters:
- Temperature: ≤ 390 °C
- Vacuum: ≥ 0.001 mbar abs.
- Feed rate: 10 kg/h – 15,000 kg/h
- Viscosity: up to 10,000 mPas (in special cases up to 5,000 Pas)
- Performance standards: ATEX, GMP, API
- Materials: Carbon steel, Hastelloy, titanium, stainless steel (1.4301, 1.4404, 1.4562, 1.4539)
Vertical and horizontal thin film dryers
GIG Karasek’s vertical or horizontal thin-film evaporators (dryers) can dry high-viscosity sludges to the desired dryness level, for example, to reduce transportation costs and improve calorific value.
- The equipment is also suitable for the food industry for moisture reduction or product crystallization.
- Waste steam from recycling loops can be utilized in the system to reduce costs.
