Radial Tensioners

Robust spindle tensioners with radial travel.

JUD radial tensioners are sturdy spindle tensioners with radial travel which have been specially developed for the wet end of the paper machine. Two screw jacks connected by a cross shaft guarantee parallel roll positioning. A mechanical clutch allows one-sided adjustment of the tensioning arms.

Linear Tensioners

Proven spindle tensioner with linear travel.

The basic linear tensioners have been proven for decades and are available in different sizes. They all guarantee linear and absolutely parallel positioning of the tensioning roll. JUD linear tensioners are equipped with a manual clutch for one-sided adjustment of the felt seam. They can be operated using fully automatic controls.

Load Cells

For exact determination of the felt / wire tension.

Load cells mounted on one side of the measuring roll allow precise measurement of the felt/wire tension. JUD load cells are available in a series of proven designs (with a bearing yoke for bearing housing or with a support plate for pillow block installation) for rated loads from 10 to 100 kN in mild steel/cast iron or all stainless steel V4A/316L.
